Sometimes sadness has a cleansing feeling to it. And sometimes there's something cathartic about wallowing in it. After my mom died I watched a bunch of movies with Cancer in them.
Watching Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl made me and my wife ugly cry. I showed it again to my sister about a year later and we both Ugly cried as well. That movie is incredible.

Yeah sometimes I put on a sad film to ugly cry to also
