Maybe you belong with each other, neither of you really seems to respect the idea of "friendship" at all. A friend is just something you can get something out or waste some time with. You know what? The problem is that the first impression is often both the most instinctual but also the most performative. How do you know your first impression is correct? It's easy to second guess oneself, even if the first impression was true, to think that a second go would make everything turn out right.
