I can't find the footage, but I remember watching it and it's not the same thing. First, Di Canio raised his hand from below his waist to his above his head and exposes his hand to a crowd of football fans. Musk put his hand to his chest and opened his arm. It's closer to kissing your hand than raising it, a non-verbal thankyou, a greeting or a gesture of "see you later."
