My Green Day week began on Wednesday, June 3rd. I arrived to Last Call with Carson Daly at 3:30, where my good friend and longtime Green Day friend Alex was holding my spot in line. After a few hours of waiting we entered the studio and were placed into seats while we watched Carson do a quick interview Green Day. We were then moved to the floor and watched Green Day perform ‘21st Century Breakdown,’ ‘Know Your Enemy,’ ‘21 Guns,’ ‘East Jesus Nowhere,’ The Static Age,’ ‘Murder City.’ The biggest surprise of the night was when Green Day came back, dressed as The Foxboro Hot Tubs, and performed ‘Stop, Drop and Roll,’ and ‘Mother Mary.’ Surprisingly, the majority of the crowd didn’t seem into the entire performance, and many of them didn’t know any of the lyrics, but it didn’t matter to me because I had an amazing time as always signing along.
