I just got home, and I'm running on 24 hours with no sleep. So I'm gonna make this quick and just do my highlights.
Andres and I got to the venue around 8:30AM. There were already a few people in line, all who were very cool. Then, people just starting showing up, who recognized us. We met a lot of awesome people tonight, speaking for myself: J'net, Cheryl & hubby, Lauren, Jimmy, Hunter, all the Sams, Bam, and I'm sorry but there were a ton of other people whom I can't remember their names. I had a ****ing blast tonight. I loved meeting all of you.
So we got in and I got right against the gate smack in the middle of the catwalk. It was an awesome spot....Billie came right up to us and sang, and I just enjoyed the show. Billie sprayed the watergun at me for the longest time it felt like. The best ****ing parts were 2000 Light Years Away, and when Billie came out for his "solo" perfomance, and he played GIVE ME NOVACAINE. I was almost crying. But wait...my night gets better.
Soo after the show I head out with my friend Calvin and I need water and merch. I spend $110 on merch. We go to the party and meet J'net and Andres. Tre Cool walks in and he's mobbed but I figure what the hell. Me and Calvin walk up to J'net and Andres. Andres put his hand out, and he said, "Tre, I'm Andres from greendayauthority.com" Tre is all like ****ING AWESOME. THEN HE TOOK ANDRES' GDA PIN AND PUT IT ON HIS JACKET. Then he said "you guys gotta get my kit information right, it's screwed up." J'net does that, so she chatted with him about that for a few mins. Then I thought to myself...should I introduce myself. When he looked back, I said "Tre!" and he looked at me and I said "Hi, I'm Courtney, I founded greendayauthority.com" He was like omg you are Courtney. Then he said the thing that defined my night "I want to take a picture with Courtney." Soooo I went over to him, he put his arm around me and I was like I"m sorry, I stink I was in the pit and he's like "yeah ya do....nah I'm just kidding." (there was that word vomit from me again). So Andres did something with the camera and Tre is like "No, you have to take it like this." It was soooo ****ing awesome! Tre was the only guy I haven't met, and he thanked me and I said, thank you so much, you guys are my life. Then I walked away. Shaking. Not knowing what to do. The only thing that sucked was that Billie and Mike weren't gonna come.
I was seriously. One of the best nights. EVER.
