Welshie was a big fat person who was with the original Star Trek crew on Omega III. Welshie was the replacement for Scotty, because when the cast reunited for musical specials, Welshie replaced Scotty since "the guy who played Scotty had trouble yodelling." He is killed by Melllvar when the cloud got angry with Fry for constantly bringing up Star Trek facts he did not know and electrocuted Welshie, thus killing him. Melllvar electrocuted Welshie many more times later when Fry would not stop telling him Star Trek facts he did not know. In fact, Melllvar electrocuted Welshie so many times, Welshie's corpse exploded.
