Okay I can't ****ing stand it when people/journalists pass off Green Day's older music as 'nothing' songs about masturbating and shit. Their music has always had meaning, it's always been about something more and shouldn't be taken at face value.

To me Longview wasn't just about masturbating, it was about being bored and unmotivated. A lot of people can relate to that, plus it's only one song that mentions masturbation. Clearly anyone who thinks their songs were about masturbating and 'passing gass' apparently don't have a ****ing clue.

Just pisses me off thats all.

If I was a Green Day fan that would piss me off, too, since if Green Day ever made good music (and they didn't) it would be their old stuff.
