It has been confirmed that Green Day will be a headliner for the Lollapalooza Festival and will play on August 7th in Chicago. The confirmation finally comes after months of rumors and speculation on whether or not Green Day will be attending. The time that they will be performing has yet to be announced. We will post that info once it become available.

Other performers at the festival include Soundgarden, Minus the Bear, Arcade Fire, the Strokes, Phoenix, MGMT, Wolfmother, and many more. Green Day hasn't played at the festival since 1994. Read the full line-up here.
