Definitely. My first guitar was a Strat though, which I did quite like. I've been playing Gibsons ever since though. My friend has a Tele though, and after playing it I just felt that I needed a Tele. I don't think there's any guitar that sounds better clean than the Telecaster.
Yeah, clean-wise, Teles are top gear. Aside from that, Gretsch and Gibson hollowbodys are amazing. I used to have a White Falcon, she was very good to me, but I had to sell her, sadly.
