I dislike them. Then, I dislike most prog and I dislike all angsty alt-metal. They're basically a perfect hybrid of those styles.

He never actually said that though.

He said it. He tried to back track, but he sure as shit said it. I wasn't the only one who saw it. Multiple people did. He back tracked to say "oh I meant it was a good indicator!" and "you aren't a misogynist because you do this, you do this because you are a misogynist." Which again, as you can see, wasn't actually what was said.
Nor is it the only strange thing he has said, just the most recent. So again: a bastion of rational thought this person is not. Thus, this person lacking "patience" to deal with people is totally irrelevant to the quality of the GDF.
Just like how in that one thread I was referring to as a circle-jerk the professor quoted by one of you didn't compare conservative American Christians to the Nazis. Nor did he say they should be treated in the exact same manner as them. Most of your outrage seems to stem from a basic misunderstanding of the English language. Though it's not really that is it? You knowingly and willfully misrepresent what they've actually said as a means for maintaining your own narrative. I.e. a circle-jerk. [/B]
It's quite strange for you to speak of others misunderstanding things. I said it would be stupid to compare the Christians to the Nazi's. I said anyone who does is asinine. I then was the one to point out the guy didn't actually say it in his blog. You see I didn't post the article. All the thread shows is the media shouldn't be trusted, you have the washington post or the washington times saying he compared them to a nazi, but he never truly did.
You can certainly sit there and talk about the forum being a circle jerk which is fine, but if it is then to me, the only change I've seen then? Is what the circle jerk focuses on. People have been circle jerking each other on one thing or another for a long time. It's always been there. You can see it done over Superman in the comic versus parts, and there's always been something to circle jerk over in GDF. The players change, the circle jerking doesn't.
I think my problem is that I'm generally quite left-leaning but that I don't like the way most left-centric people go about talking about their issues, banding about terms like "White Feminism" and shit like that's totally cool or something. Most people on the left really irritate me, and I start thinking "maybe I'm more right-wing than I thought I was?" – then I look at the people on the right and realise they're a bunch of ****wits as well, in a totally different way.

This is why the only wings I subscribe to are chicken wings. I've heard extreme left wing people say some things I agree with and disagree with, and I've heard the same from some right wing people.
Yeah, I think finding out where one personally stands on an issue is far more important than picking a side and subscribing to every belief that that entails. The whole 'left vs right' thing is mostly what really turns me off politics, as if something as nuanced as the human social/political experience can be summed up as Red VS Blue.
Now chicken wings, on the other hand, I can get down with. Nothing better when I'm drunk as shit than a box of spicy wings.
Time to watch the latest Bill Maher, it's like a gamble, sometimes I agree with what he says in episodes, other times he is just..in some weird mood where he's nigh-intolerable.
Lol there is a "dating site" called "Maple Match" apparently meant for people who want to flee the US if Trump wins so they can meet Canadians to bang.
Obviously it's not a true dating site.
