I remember this one time in the army right, now, we were getting a lot of these bullshit inspections and so we'd have to make our beds really super neat and tidy in the morning, literally ironing creases out of them in the morning before going to get food then coming back and cleaning the bathrooms and everything. So, a few of us in my section decided to make our beds the night before and sleep in the empty section room across the hall. We did this whenever we had inspection, like four of us, then we'd get up at 6am and go back into our actual room. But one morning I woke up, and I noticed it was brighter than usual straight away, then I panicked cause I knew I woke up late. It was 7am, I missed food, I missed cleaning, somehow no one noticed I wasn't around which is a little depressing, and I had half hour before inspection to get dressed and ready. But **** me if that wasn't the best nights sleep I had in weeks at that point. It was pretty funny running out of the room I was in into the hall in my Simpsons slippers and pyjama shorts as everyone else is running around in full army kit making sure everything is clean and put away. It was at this point I was thinking that I wasn't really cut out for this army malarkey.
