You gotta make time for the important things in life bro. From the number of times I've seen people on the internet correct the grammar and punctuation of others..this shit matters, like it really matters. Sometimes a person uses like "of" instead of "have" and I spend the rest of the day confused and just asking..WHAT did they mean?!?!

I had to explain painstakingly that 'have' implies ownership in a grammatical sense, and that 'of' means roughly something that comes from something else, and thus 'of' makes no sense in that context. Then I explained that the reason people use 'of' is because they mishear " 've " and think it's spelled 'of', when actually it's a contraction of 'have'. I should've just drawn them a ****ing graph really

I mean it doesn't annoy me that much, only when I see lecturers at my university doing it, doesn't exactly fill me with confidence
Like this other lecturer who spells 'focused' as 'focussed', which although technically correct is kind of a dead variant, and he even picked me up for using a dead variant of another word in one of my essays and downmarked for it! And then said I should 'be more focussed'!
