I don't really think anyone was offended by what you just said. But you are indeed correct being offended is The New Black. People will take what they can get when it comes to a chance to play up the victim card.

Also yes the response isn't alien to society, but this is men dude and nobody really cares about that so it's not the right kind of thing to be offended over.
