I'm actually considering Russian for the next language I learn. Might be more practical if I study Czech first though.

It's actually quite funny to what lengths some non-Anglophones will go to placate Anglophones when it comes to pronunciation of their native languages. There's this one Dutch former world champion kickboxer/MMA-fighter who for years has been intentionally mispronouncing his own last name in English in interviews with Anglophone media outlets. Whether it's because he thinks it's funny or he just can't be arsed to correct them anymore, I don't know. A lot of footballers do it too. In fact I don't even correct people anymore when they butcher my name, it just gets tiring to deal with.
