Boogie Nights is one of the best films ever made. Also the commentary with PTA on it is also pretty funny. Everyone pretty much keeps saying Luis Guzman was high the entire time. He also talks about how John C Reilly attacked Mark Wahlberg after Mark threw a marshmellow and hit John square in the forehead.

Man I want to get it on dvd just for that commentary. Well and just because it's incredible

PTA said listening to director's commentary on films is how he learnt so much about filmmaking so I could probs learn a thing or two from his ones

Yep at first with dvd's I was never really interested in the commentary of them. But now for most dvd's I have.I have listened to the commentary. It can make you appreciate a film more to hear about what they went through making it.

I was lucky I found the movie on dvd in a dollar store for like 3-4 bucks and scooped it up. It doesn't feature the deleted scenes, but it does feature two commentaries: the first one is just PTA alone during the entire thing. The second one is with him and the various actors(Wahlberg, Reilly, Cheadle, etc.)

Hearing John C Reilly talking is just a pleasure in and of itself, love that guy

When I said I just did my best PTA impression what I meant was that I'm filming an event with a jazz band performing, and I recreated the opening scene of Boogie Nights, coming in through the front door and doing one long shot of the band and all of the people there

Made me almost feel like a pro

Still got an hour of work left and idk are the band finished? Are they going to play more and are people going to dance? All I know is that my last glass of free wine is draining rapidly

I'm out of tobacco too pained

And the band is playing an 8-9 set pained

man the crime scene photos of what whoever did to Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman are ****ing nuts

like they were ****ing butchered

I love TV that shows real stuff like that because I love constantly having these images imprinted on my brain forever everytime i close my eyes

Narcos shows a surprising amount of real life carnage

it was awesome, they had like these video packages in between costume changes and a "Brules Rules" came up for like the 5th time, and suddenly Dr. Steve walked out on stage and the whole room erupted
