One thing I feel TV has over like internet and subscription services etc like okay on Netflix you have this huge choice of TV and movies over many genres but like sometimes you don't know what to choose like on TV you can choose your channel but there is already something on you know like maybe i don't want to choose what I wanna watch

Yeah, I agree. Sometimes a lack of choice makes things easier, and sometimes you'll end up watching something you wouldn't normally watch and enjoying it. It also takes responsibility away, like if the TV is shit then you can laugh at it with people, but if you've put something on and other people don't like it then that can be soul-crushing, or worse, fatal

It was something about people that used to make hats. Somewhere in the process mercury was involved so they would go crazy because of of it.
