😂 jesus. I wasn't expecting that. Can't say I agree, sorry. The movie didn't vibe with me at all. I found Max so extremely unlikable and creepy and almost sociopathic. I couldn't buy the friendship between him and Blume. I see where you're coming from, that they're pretty similar, but I couldn't figure out how Blume, who's quite likable and normal, so quickly became friends with such a creepy kid about a third his age. And the jokes were really weird and the film as a whole came across as really cold. Can't say I liked it at all.
I can see why you got those things from the film, yeah. Max is a very flawed character and hard to actually like to any real degree. Even at the end of the film he's still a narcissist. Although I wouldn't really say the film has 'jokes' as a normal film does, it's got humour but I wouldn't say jokes. Most of all though I can understand the film leaving you cold, I can just see how it could do that, it very nearly did that to me when I first watched it and I don't really know why I decided after that that I liked it. awehuhs
