Evangelion takes way too long to get off the ground, so many of the early episodes are just "oh... another Angel... hey Shinji, go kill the Angel" "I don't want to" "get in the robot and kill the ****ing Angel, Shinji" "okay"

I really liked it from about episode 14/15 onwards and the End of Evangelion movie is some seriously mad shit, but it definitely takes a while to really get into things. I guess it's worth seeing just because of how big and influential it was if anything.
