Okay but when you come at me with "life in pain and suffering" and you're all..Sylvia Plath'ing me, I dunno. That's preferable?
I think it's better to face up to the reality of the world and then overcome it than just hide in a fantasy world where you ignore it and focus purely on base pleasure

I always wanted braces as a teen. I used to make one out of paper clips all the time awehuhs

I should have had braces, but I didn't clean my teeth enough so they didn't give me them

But if you're all depressed and bleak and shit you haven't overcome it, you're just existing.

I hate my teeth too. I never do teethy smiles in photos cause I always think they look awful.

Then people think not smiling so then I try smile more with lips together and end up looking constipated in photos

You have to overcome it time and time again. Depression is a cycle that you have to beat in small doses by making your life better at every turn, and I find making other people's lives better is a good way of doing that. If you recognise that the world is shitty, then making the world better even in small ways makes life better. Therefore, you take it upon yourself to make life worth living by proving to yourself that people can be good. I've found that this makes you more open to the good things that happen in life, rather than focusing on the depressing shit. There will always be depressing shit, hiding from it solves nothing, it's not going to go away. Refusing to accept that there is a plethora of depressing things happening at all times is just refusing to accept life itself. Thus you keep yourself in a bubble. Now that, is truly depressing.

Oh man pained

Nobody refuses to accept there is depressing stuff, it's just...if life is bleak life is bleak, nothing you do will change it. Being all "I'm so very aware life is bleak" isn't something to be proud of. It's not a strength or something to strive to.

My smile is shit as **** when I try to hide my teeth and people say I should smile properly more but I'm like no keep them chompers out of my life

Why not? And even if not so, why is the opposite something to strive for? I may get depressed but my life is lit by the good deeds I see and the good deeds I do. The dark makes the light brighter. I'd rather that than just laughing at things I disagree with.

Lol if these good deeds hold you up so much why are you so depressed? You see the issue?

I mean I think being affected by the depressing shit in life is just called being an empathetic person but what do I know eh

No, I don't. Because there is a lot of bad shit out there. Bad and good live side-by-side. Being a person who isn't afraid of their emotions, I accept that bad things can make me feel shitty and good things can make me feel better. Why are these things mutually exclusive?

Been a while since I listened to GbV
