Depends when you consider "back in the day". I was active here around 2004-2008 and there were a lot of people here then. Not so much anymore.

Yeah I was thinking like 2007-2009

It's become a lot less active over the years. I still log on to see if any of my old friends are around, but most of them haven't logged on in years. It even seems like less new members are signing up

my biggest worry is being the last one here i'll just be searching through every forum wondering where everyone is, posting "guys? hello?" over n over...then it hits me...it was all a dream

kmc never existed, you guys never existed, maybe i don't even exist

That is really depressing.

Yeah coming back here is kinda like being in a graveyard of memories from my childhood.

i felt the same way when i started playing vice city again, you can never recapture the magic. you can't see the same movie for the first time again.

But, I'm not very nostalgic. I don't really long for the past that much. I certainly don't want to go back to my time as a child. I don't have that strong of a feeling for it. But I recognize the general sadness that exists in the context of the impermanence of all things.

i think unless its 4chan reddit or those type of big main forums ones like this will just consist of a small community. it does have its advantages, most of us that post in this thread have been here off n on for around a decade now, and i've met like six of them

I remember a lot of them. My friends were PuddinPop, FantasyGirl, A1Hsauce, wildcherry. I lost contact with all them. I only talk to one member still from here, and I've known him about 14 years now which is crazy to think.
