You sure can man, I guess it's not weird at all you're oblivious to it when someone who shares similar views to you does it.
No paranoia. It's all good. You just missed it, I understand. Thankfully you were in the GDF in time to see me do it.
Originally posted by SurturThe main reason I find it weird is because of the Left using it. Like I used it for a while, and seeing both Left and Right shitposters saying it to each other ad infinium really made me think, "Wait, why did I ever buy into using this word as an insult?"

Or like, no, I'm just persecuting you again, because of course I am, because you know me oh so well

Well people indeed did do with "triggered" what they did with things like "racism" in the past. Use it as a conversation ender, as opposed to using it when it actually applied. Thus robbing the word of all meaning.
It really demeans the actual definition in that context. So the fact that their misuse allowed it to turn into a general insult is pretty ****ing annoying.
Like people (for example veterans) who actually have stuff like PTSD get triggered by stuff and it can ruin their life for months at a time.
And it is for these reasons that I petition we stop using the word! I mean essentially you've allowed for SJW's to trick you into insulting veterans.
(That last sentence was kind of a joke but the rest wasn't)

Indeed, it sucks when people misuse words. Triggered, racism, misogyny..have more or less lost all meaning in the USA.
