Since you felt to rant and then close the thread, I'll respond to your nonsense here. Consider this my final response on the issue.
Warned you all. This thread is now closed for a week, and Dr McBeefington gets a ban for such ridiculous stated defiance. Never, ever say that you will ignore what a mod says.
Either you misunderstood me, or you just don't get it. Defying you WAS the point, so it could point out the hilariously ridiculous nature of your requests for me to argue specific points that you designate, and then to believe what you believe, without getting so much as an actual argument out of you.
The place for serious political/philosophical debate is in the GDF. This place has been turned into a ridiculous and pointless talking shop which is actively hostile to this place's design as an off-topic area for SW vs. It is fine for those of you with giant egos already here, but useless for new people trying to come in and just mess around randomly. You have made this place exclusive, cliqquey and unwelcoming. This debating is NOT the purpose of an off-topic area- and meanwhile, your claims that your debate was some sort of high-quality one that was more intellectual than ones elsewhere are hilarious. Dream on guys; most of what has been said here, by all of you, is babble.
This place has turned into something that more intelligent than it ever was. Instead of "which star wars character can beat the other one lol!", we are introducing new and PRACTICAL ideas amongst ourselves. Prove we've made it "cliqquey", since there's no evidence of the such. And I LOVE how you call most of what has been said was babble, while you lack any kind of contribution or rebuttal to the thread, other than intervening for no apparent reason, forcing me to argue your points, and then bitching and moaning when I decide your request is retarded. Any moron can state "Wow you guys are stupid", without adding anything resembling an argument.
After I re-open, those who decide to keep on defying me will start getting bans too.
As you can see, whether it's you unable to get laid or just having some serious self esteem issues, this particular forum has died down slowly over the past week and is dying a slow death, all due to your wonderful and impartial leadership, captain.
