Kains had the object that anchors his soul to his body, without it, by logic he should drop dead, he was fine....his soul remained. He has the soul of a human, but rip out his soul and his true Devil Form is there. Dante can't be decapitated. Vergil would have cut his hand off easily, but couldn't because of his regeneration. And Demons in DMC doesn't have any souls. Vergil got cut IN HALF and he couldn't be cut in half physically, so the same could be said for Dante. Dante still has QS, DG, and Teleportation. Dante can ALSO use the power of Sparda. And he can seal Jedah away for good.
