Aragorn(LOTR) vs. Madmartigan(Willow)

2 masters of the sword, but which is truly king?

Madmartigan: "I am the greatest swordsman that ever lived."

Aragorn, easy.

Throw MM in just about any of the LOTR scenarios Aragron faced and overcame; he goes down.

Willow does kick-ass though, good family fun.

What about that big ass snake thingie MM took down?

The troll turned double-headed no snout dragon, what of it?

Aragorn is still the far superior swordsman.

And forgetting that MM took on that whole army alone at the end?

That wasn't an army, it was a squad of guys dispatched to get the baby.

You also have to factor in the skill of their enemies, the bad guys in Willow where clownish (excused, as it's a family film), while the bad guys in the LOTR where monstrous bad-asses.

And there it is.
