Universal Darkness

Rood paid no mind to his minor battle scars. The only thing on his mind was the safety and well being of Chun. He grabbed her and applied pressure over her wounds and held her tightly. This was the first time in almost forever that he actually cared about someone.

"You should know better by now that nothing is going to stop me, nothing is going to kill me but the pain inside. Forget about me, what about you?

There seemed to be no more orcs, so Vexx retrieved Naimah and began carrying her back to camp where he saw the other two Kaja in the distance.

Can-Yu opened his eyes and looked around.

The orcs are all dead. Crap, i missed almost the entire fight.

He picked himself up and got on his carpet. He flew over where the four Kaja were. As he did so, he saw Zalin to his left.

"So, finally come out of hiding?"

Chuns eyes widened as Rood grabbed her. She blinked a bit before laughing lightly. Im fine. Im stronger then you think.... but.. you might want to squeeze tighter. I still still breath slightly. A Joke saying that he was squeezing to tight.

Naimah was awake but she liked being carried, she was tired so she kept her eyes closed and listened

Rood released her and regained his composure.

"Very well then, next time I won't be so weak, I'll kill them all for you."

Chun slapped his arm as hard as she could What happened to wanting someone strong so you wouldnt have to worry? how can I prove myself strong if you have a need to defend me? I took out those monsters and only have one wound! Thats pretty damn impressive! Her eyes go wide as she realized she was yelling. she frowns softly and leans against Roods chest. ...Sorry.. I dont mean to yell. She then took his large hand in her small one and pulled him along. come on... lets get back to the others. See who is still alive and all that.

"You're strong enough to put me down if I ever went crazy, you were amazing out there Chun, their death cries sent whats left of my soul aflutter. Also yelling in such an assertive voice works well with me."

He followed her, well actually he was being dragged by her but for once he didn't mind.

Chun, pulling Rood with her, Came up to the others. The bodys of the Orcs and Goblins strewn across the ground. She had let go of Roods hand to not give anyone ideas though personally she wanted that. she looked up to see a new person. An elf with Silver hair and pale skin. He was kind of cute for an elf. Is everyone alright?

Cato laughed as he tossed a goblins body over to the side. "Of course, that was actually pretty fun"

Rood was disgusted by the site of the others, they were all weak to him, weak and useless. Killing a bunch of mindless orcs was no great feat in his eyes.

"Of course you all had fun, what did you possibly have to worry about with such heavy armor on?"

"Hey! I don't wear armor."

Can-Yu was indignant that the Kaja had put him on the same level as the human.

Cato took his helmet off and looked directly at Rood

"Look man, I'm a Human we were born weak and defenseless but we used our mental strength and ambition to create things to rise above. So yea hate us for it all you want but the fact is no matter how much you complain about us and our ways, deep down you know that i'm just as much of a warrior as you are. iIve fought when my armor has broken and when my weapon has been taken and i don't care what you think cuz i dont fear you. And you know this, and you hate me for it because you know i'm strong and one day you'll be glad to have me fight by your side even though you'll deny it."

Chuns face went pale, though it was hard to see under her fur. Did this human want a death wish? She put her hand up to place it gently on roods chest. Hopfully just touching him would calm him down.

"Yeah I wouldn't wear armor either if I was able to hit my enemies from 50 ft away, or if I could use a dead body that someone else already killed and have it fight for me. As for you, you can doubt yourself if you want and think that one race has such advantages over the other then feel free to be a fool. Look at Naimah, who said herself that she was born a worthless runt and now look at her. I wasn't born able to do what I can do now, I couldn't take arrows and blades. Its not hate I have for you all, its pity and I wish I could call you an equal warrior but its hard to judge when the only time I had to fight you I was being held back by a bunch of fools. Happiness is something I don't know, I'll never be "happy" to fight by your side. I don't need you or anyone to make it through this world."

He moved closer to Chun when he said the last part about needing no one for happiness. Her actions told him not to completely lose control.

Cato shook his head and dropped his helmet to the ground, he then removed both his sword and his mace. After both hit the ground with a thud he removed his cuirass and stood there shirtless with just his greaves and boots on. He raised his shield up. "Fine then right now i'll prove it to you. Here i am bare chested and no helmet, just my shield as a weapon and my entire upper body vulnerable. Well right here i'll show you i'll fight you right now, regardless of what happens i'll show you i'm a warrior through and through and in some ways more of one then you are. I dont look down on others for there methods a warrior is a warrior we go from fight to fight untill we eventually die. If thats now then so be it but i'll show you that even us humans deserve repect regardless of your oppinions of us."

Vexx grew tired watching this dick measuring contest...He let out a yawn and started walking away. Carrying Naimah to the nearby spring and splashing some water on her face in attempts to wake her.

He removes Chun's hand and steps forward. He knows she doesn't want him fighting her friends let alone killing them so for her happiness he will hold back.

"Very well, you know I still don't have much time for these bouts with you. Because of an outside force I will hold back my claws and resort to closed fists attacks. Three minutes human, survive this long and I'll consider respecting you."

Rood opens up with a hook to his opponent's face.

Cato moved his head to the side but he was still partially hit cuasing his head to move violently in the direction of his fists movement. He smiled and shit out a little bit of blood. "Well First of all the name's Cato" he said as he jumped upward and rose his foot the metal boot incassing it striking rood's chin. He hopped backwards and wiping the little bit of blood off of his lower lip. he motioned for him to come on.

Lucrecia was watching Cato and Rood it seemed like they were gearing up for a fight she was rooting for cato of course, she then started to clean the blood of her chakram whilst still watching them.
