The 100 jedi were surprised and surrounded in the middle of an arena with no cover. They could not use their full range of abilities due to the crowded nature of the center of the arena, and were also being attacked by Jango Fett. Even Jedi struggle when surrounded and outnumbered that badly. The important thing to note, however is that when the clones and their vehicles arrive, which are the things running the gauntlet, the arena droids get promptly owned.

The Jedi actually were the ones to ambush Dooku, although they weren't excepting droids. And Jango Fett? Of what threat exactly in a battle involving hundreds of jedi and thousands of droids was he?

That's what I meant, but the fact is they were still surprised and surrounded and outnumbered.

He could...er...snipe them? Alright, so he wouldn't make that much of a difference, but he would be a more dangerous foe and he did kill many Jedi before being dispatched by Mace.

The clones will get by the first 4 or 5 rounds, but after that, they will get massacred.
