Why is it assumed that in a "slug fest" Superman, Gladiator, and other characters of that ilk would move slowly? Wouldn't it be more practical, particularly in a non plot driven scenario, for them to pummel their opponent with as many punches as they could, meaning as quickly as possible, before the slower opponent got an oppurtunity to counter? And are both combatants unable to dodge incoming punches and evade or something? I just don't understand how a knock down drag out boxing match versus someone exponentially faster than you favors the slower guy.
