No. Its not.

It is...in fact...different.

Plus I think Obi-Wan ignites his and stares down the Mandalorians in the clip prior.

I thought the same thing, until I paused the video.

They have the same form and the same colour patern:

grey - black - grey - black - gold - grey

Perhaps the clips aren't consecutive or perhaps they just used the same model. (Like Grievous in ROTS fights Obi using 4 lightsabers of which 2 have the hilt of Anakin's and Obi Wan's)

...because Filoni is too lazy to make different models. They're already using sabers. These are all automatic signs things are going to be bad.

And yes, they are similar. But the kenobi cartoon model has the bumps very well defined on the end. THe mando does not.

I guess we'll know who's right when we actually see the episode.

It doesn't look that much different from what we've seen so far, if you ask me.

Eh, the lightsabers don't look that similar. But we'll see.

Further note on Grievous' sabers- he also had Luke's and the generic lightsaber that the extras used.

The whole gest of the series.. very much like season One. I can't see a noticeable different approach.

I think we will see a drastically better show.

Filoni would have to be a total dumb donkey if he didn't realize the show needed darker, more serious themes. I think Lucas had his way too much in the first season.

The real question for this season is: Will Filoni fcuk over Mandalorians so hard that I cant recover from it?

As I said: seeing the trailer I don't see a very different approach so far. You can add bounty hunters, Mandalorians and what have ya as much as you want, if you don't change the spirit of the series nothing really changes. So chances are you need a nurse.

the nurse is a metaphor? or george lucas should consider adding a literal nurse as a main character? lol

when i saw the trailer, it seemed to be only focusing on the first couple of episodes leading directly on from season 1. you usually find season trailers show snippets from a few episodes dotted around the season. i think because of this and the fact they threw in the massive bounty hunter arc has given people the impression it's going to be majorly different to the first season.

i'd have to agree with queeq somewhat, in that until they show otherwise i'm expecting something as gripping as the first season

it was the use of the word...the first season was interesting to watch, but if i missed a couple episodes it wasn't the end of the world...
