Deadpool Movie

This movie should be great, especially since Ryan Reynolds is coming back as Deadpool. I'm new to the whole Deadpool thing but Reynolds seems about perfect for the role. Should be interesting seeing a character that kicks ass, is hilarious, and breaks the fourth wall a lot.

do you know how much i want this movie to come out??? A LOT.....and that's why im already expecting a disappointment.....and i highly doubt he breaks the fourth wall in it :'(

Wonder if Robert Rodriguez will really do this, as rumours suggest. He's got a strong relationship with Fox (with Predators about to be released), and clearly this kind of project is perfect for him; over the top violence & comic lunacy.

I know this is the discussion for the movie but the description for this comic is funny

X-MEN ORIGINS: DEADPOOL #1

THE STORY:
“DEADPOOL: THE MAJOR MOTION PICTURE” You may have heard there’s a Deadpool movie in the works. Anyway, Wade Wilson’s heard the same thing — and he’s determined to tell his own story before Hollywood screws it up. Deadpool even hires his own screenwriter, who manages to get the Merc With a Mouth to open up like never before—revealing not only his origin story, but shocking details you’ve never heard before. We’re talking Oscar™ -worthy stuff here, people. That is, unless Hollywood manages to screw it up anyway…

The sad part is- in the end of the book they did screw up the movie so Deadpool got pissed and started shooting in the theater.

If Robert Rodriguez is director im not worried about the movie.

I'll have to get a look at that book, if he starts shooting up a theatre.

Anyone ever see the Superman/Batman issue (the 'kryptonite' storyline) where Batman is pissed about them shooting a Batman movie in Gotham? The actor takes off his cowl and reveals himself to be gay, I think. 😂 Superman is watching the filming with Batman from a rooftop, and is trying to keep a straight face as Batman just gets more & more upset.

Ryan Reynolds on the Deadpool Movie

I don't know. It was the lead story in one of the trade paperback collections I looked at on the bookstore shelf. Long story dealing with the duo trying to get rid of all the kryptonite on Earth.

there actually starting to say now that WB is trying to get ryan reynolds not to do the deadpool movie because hes green lantern now.......if thats the case it totally sucks because i dont wanna see a deadpool movie if ryan reynalds is not deadpool........hes such a PERFECT deadpool

Man that would BLOW! He's SOOOOO much more Wade Wilson than Hal Jordan, in fact I still find the idea of him as Jordan completely laughable! I mean he'd have made a great Wally or a decent number of other range of DC characters but the idea of him, the guy that smart mouths and wise cracks about EVERYTHING in basically everything I've ever seen him in, playing a character with next to no sense of humor is really ridiculous. Shoulda stuck with the idea of him playing Wally in a flash movie! IMO

Thou admittedly I am bias. I really never cared for Hal in the least, much prefer a Kyle or atleast John Steward movie.

The movie script leaked. I havent read it and im not gonna read it so whoever finds it please dont spoil anything.

Ive read a review though and must say im really excited. Here's a quote from the review. No worries it doesnt spoil anything.

"The script itself reads like a Deadpool fan's dream. The character could not be better represented. Full red suit and mask: check, witty banter: check, breaking the fourth wall: check, completely frakking insane..its all here. Whatever you were worried about with this movie(if this draft is even used of course) in terms of the character, don't be! You will not be disappointed." 😄

This is how they fix the shitty Wolverine DP and back to the hopefully good DP.

Spoiler:
Of course there’s a problem in turning Deadpool into a movie, it’s a problem caused by X-Men Origins: Wolverine where the character was first introduced, abused, ruined, and then killed. This script eliminates that problem brilliantly by, well, mocking it. The script never comes right out and mentions Wolverine, it’s all accomplished through one specific subtle reference, which says everything that needs to be said. It’s as though the character of Deadpool exists in a world where Wolverine is a movie that he’s seen, and hates. Deadpool literally throws everything Wolverine did to screw up this character in the trash can, and then spends the rest of the movie endlessly poking fun at the celebrity of Hugh Jackman.

That’s not to say Deadpool is disconnected from the rest of the Marvel universe. It just distances itself from Wolverine because, well, there’s no other way to handle it after the way Jackman’s movie treated the character. But it’s still part of the Marvel world and there’s a huge role in this movie for Colossus, one of the most famous X-Men who has never really gotten a proper treatment on screen in any of the X-Men movies. Colossus had a cameo of sorts in X-Men 3, but here he gets a personality and plenty of fight scenes, at times serving as the straight man to Deadpool’s morally ambiguous hijinks. It’s a genius pairing; an indestructible superhero odd couple who work so well on the page that you’ll hope that the sequel will find a way to put them together permanently.

With X-Men Origins: Wolverine out of the equation, the script approached everything as if you’ve never seen Deadpool before. That means including an origin story, but origin stories are boring and Deadpool doesn’t have time to be boring. So rather than dragging us through an endless opening sequence in which Deadpool is introduced, the entire movie takes place at the peak of Deadpool’s career and his origin is told in flashbacks, interspersed throughout the movie between breaks in the action. The script’s not really linear, not exactly, and that works perfectly for a movie with the comedic sensibilities of Family Guy and the kind of brutal violence that only works when it’s not thrown at you all at once. The result is a fairly well defined rhythm of insane, violence punctuated by weirdly hilarious flashbacks, which may not seem like they’re moving the story forward but eventually do. Stopping to watch the last time Deadpool ate carbs may not seem like an important part of this tale, but in the end it all comes together.

^Well...

First of all, Deadpool wasn't killed in Wolverine, because the very last image after the credits is him pulling his head back to his body in the rubble, going "shhhh...." to the audience.
And they can't treat Wolverine as a bad movie that didn't happen; it's part of continuity right now, and I'm sure the next Wolverine film is following it.
And since the events of Wolverine are 15 years before he comes to Xavier's, how old is Colossus supposed to be? Age doesn't matter to Wade, since he's been made immortal by the healing factor process...

Guys, use the [spoiler]text[/ spoiler]
