Glads punched him while he absorbed the kenetic energy from it.

Glads then lost his conficence.

If Glads lost his confidence everytime someone took one of his hits he'd never last as long as he does in fights. Wouldn't Supreme have slaughtered him, or Uni Woman, or Thor, or Hyperion. He only lost confidence with Sam, because he knows how weak Sam is compared to himself and knew there was no way Sam should've taken that punch. Glads has never lost confidence in a fight with people who are actually on or above his level. Look at his showing against Tyrant. He never doubted once that he wasn't gonna woop Tyrant's ass. He still lost, but had a better showing that anyone but Surfer.

So yeah, he's not gonna lose confidence just cause Adam gives him a challenge.
