Christ you are dense. Shang-chi is a completely different beast now than he was in the 70s during Deadly Hands and Master of Kung-fu. Zaran gave him a hell of a time back then (not really, but whatever)? Who cares, it's irrelevant. Shang-chi's showings from the last five years are pretty consistent in regards to his current levels. Citing anything from more than ten years ago, is about as accurate as using brain tumor Bullseye as your measuring stick for current Bullseye.

edit: Dont know what your defintion of owned is but I thought ownage was stomped. 6 pages of fighting isnt ownage because Shang eventhough looking superior had to fight to win and put effort into it.

The only time Zaran managed to hit him was when the cops showed up and Shang-Chi was distracted. If you fight someone and they easily walk all over you and you are inable to land a single hit... they owned you.

He didnt get hit but it still wasnt an easy win. 6 pages of fighting is not an easy win. Hell at one point he had to jump out of the window to make the fight easier.

edit: To be quite honest though it doesnt change anything even if you think he was owned. The scans prove that he can still get cut and stunned by a skilled martial artist and you're point about him getting punched into orbit is still retarded.

What do you think that translates into? 30 seconds? 60 seconds? It was nothing and Zaran was never a threat to Shang-Chi in the slightest. It was and easy fight.

He got knocked over by a surprise attack? I'm not sure what that proves. He wasn't injured, and unlike other character's Shang-chi's durability is directly tied into his chi, so catching him off guard is much more devastating than it is for other characters.

Stop making shit everybody is less durable when taken by suprise wether Shang is less durable than other is pure speculation. Hell theres not even enough proof that hes neccesarily more durable than certain street levelers when fully aware.

Doesnt matter the point is that he can be hurt. Srank posted a scan of Shang getting punched into orbit and then stated what could TM do to him if Shang can take that. At the end of the day main reason why it was shown was to prove that he can still get hurt by conventional means.
