Yes, the blast did send him through time. Either that or one of the Elders brought him back, which seems very unlikely (they could've done it earlier and avoid Galactus' wrath).

Thanos rarely uses the Power Cosmic. And when he does, its not in him. He taps it from his ship. Similar to Galactus.
