The guy from Troy that played Hector should be CA. They just have to dye his hair.

Walhberg whould make a shit CAP. Departed was his best role other than that he cant act.

eric bana...fascinating

Doesnt have the look.

It needs to be a guy who can pull off the whole " I'm from the WWII era " thing. Acts really old fashioned, but can whoop butt all the same.

Eric Bana is a good actor but too old. How about Channing Tatum?

Channing Tatum? who's he? I will stick to Mark Wahlberg for now until I see somebody better.

How about Ben Mckenzie? add more muscle and weight to him.

Louis Leterrier Talks Captain America, Avengers
Source:Los Angeles Times
August 10, 2009

The Los Angeles Times recently spoke to The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier and got quotes about what he's seen of The First Avenger: Captain America and his dream for The Avengers. Here are several clips from the article:

LL: ...I have seen some of the design work they’re doing for Captain America and it looks amazing. It’s a period piece and it’s like “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and with more gadgets...

GB: Well that makes sense, I know Feige and his team turned to Joe Johnston because of his art direction work on “Raiders” and the fact that he directed “The Rocketeer.”

LL: Yes, exactly, so it’s “Raiders” meets "Rocketeer” and “Saving Private Ryan.” It’s going to be so cool.

LL: ...You know, you asked about my dream, I’ll tell you my real dream: To work with Joe Johnston and [“Thor” director] Kenneth Branagh and Jon Favreau and make like a triptych. We do four movies. We release them one a month for the summer. Or even every two weeks or three weeks. And the whole summer would be Avengers summer. So we do it the way they make television shows. One story arc but told in installments by different directors. So all of the directors that touch part of the Avengers world would do a part; we could make the movies shorter, maybe less than an hour and a half, and we use the same sets and save Marvel money. I would love to sit around a table with all of them a kick around the story. That’s my dream.

The guy couldn't act in G.I. Joe. I don't think a role this big is for him.

Channing Tatum , if he gained weight and worked out, he could make a good Captain America

Nah, I change my mind. He would look the part, yes, but I agree with AC. His acting sucked balls in G.I. Joe.

well that really doesn't matter.. The only thing matters is what the film studio thinks

Actually, Matthew McConaughey would be good.

That could work to be honest. 😄
