Greatest WWE finishers

Started by Quincy4 pages

Any move where the crowd cheers and freaks out when they see it.

The Mandible Claw/Mr. Socko
The People's Elbow
The Stone-Cold Stunner
The Tombstone
Gore
Crippler Crossface
Walls of Jericho

Last Ride
619
Swanton bomb
Crippler Crossface

Those are my favorites..though it probably has to do with them being the finishers of my favorite wrestlers also.

in terms of execution i like the Michinoku driver from Taka Michinoku, the Undertaker's Last Ride and Chokeslam, and Jeff Hardy's Swanton (Centon) bomb...

honorable mention goes to Goldberg's Jacknife Powerslam and RVD's Frogsplash..

How bout Evan Bournes Shooting Star Press
RVD's Rolling Thunder or the VanDaminator
Dudley Boyz 3D
Masato Tanaka - Roaring Elbow
Sabu - Triple Jump Moonsault
or some good old school ones
Iron Sheik - Camel Clutch
Ted DiBiase - Million Dollar Dream
Rick Martel - Boston Crab
"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka - Superfly Splash
"Mr. Perfect" Curt Henning - Perfectplex

That's all I can think of off the top of my head....
Props to tofu for the Michinoku Driver!

Chokeslams (Kane, Vader, Big Show, Undertaker)

Sweet Chin Music, one of the only ones I can think of that can actually come out of nowhere.

Many good ones have already been mentioned so I'll just throw in a few others off the top of my head that I enjoy but don't believe have been named yet.

-C4 by Paul Burchill is crazy to watch.
-The Banzai Drop by Yokozuna was one of the most simple yet effective finishers due to his size.
-G.T.S. by CM Punk is a great finisher, especially when timed just right. Although I do wish the WWE would let him use The Pepsi Plunge once in awhile. Now that would be sweet!

Back in the day (2000) I hated triple H with passion, and the pedigree pissed me off especially when he did it to the rock.

Now I realize what a great villain he was and what a great heel move it was.

Dudley's 3d for sure. Best tag team finisher IMO
Goldberg's spear and jackknife
Always thought the pedigree was a brutal looking move
chokeslam
F5

Chris Benoit-Crippler Cross-face
Bret Hart-Sharp Shooter
Rhino-The Gore
Steve Austin-Stone Cold Stunner
Diamond Dallas Page-Diamond Cutter
Shawn Michaels-Sweet Chin Music
The Undertaker-Tombstone Piledriver
The Big Show-Choke Slam
Rob Van Dam-The Van Daminator
Mankind-Mandible Claw
Vader-Vader Bomb

Yes, it is a sports forum and maybe more. Don't you know that "pro" sports are fake anyway?... As WWE calls it, "Sports Entertainment". The champion in most major sport leagues are typically predetermined so wrestling is no more "fake" then most other sports on here. So really sports in general are mainly about athleticism and that would qualify "pro" wrestling. The biggest difference is that at least the WWE is honest about it and not taking the fan's money over lies. 馃檮

Of course, I don't believe most of that myself but there are many others that do. The point being, depending on whatever opinion it may be about anything sports related, it still fits. Plus, I find WWE more real then the likes of Tom Brady or David Beckham and they're considered major stars in their respective sports. That鈥檚 one more reason why it fits. 馃槃

Sweet Chin Music

Shawn was my favorite wrestler growing up in the '90s, and it's just such an awesome move. And I still remember back in '05 when he did it to Shelton Benjamin...

I was never necessarily a Shawn Michaels fan but that will forever be one of the most memorable moves in wrestling history. Just that one move has it's own highlight package courtesy of HBK.

The Doomsday Device by the Road Warriors is another move I always enjoyed.

i remember how psyched I was when they put it in the smackdown games, but added the stomps before it to lead up. tres awesome.

The greatest finisher of all time....my favorite song ever sweet chin music thats just a beautiful finisher its quick and smooth and the sound it makes when he connects it with the guys chin its like music to my ears lol

it's one of the few finishers I always liked as being when it connected, it looked like it really hurt.

* the Sweet Chin Music is so fast, i don't like it that much... it's a nice move but i think the Stond Cold Stunner is better... 馃檪
