And again, that's while Galactus was vastly weakened. Keep in mind its being stated/confirmed by Thanos...so, its most likely accurate. 😛

Annihilation #4.

ahhh . . . i remember that now. still makes no sense. probably why i forgot about it the first time. 😄

still makes absolutely no sense at all, but they were talking UNIVERSE, not multiverse which is a little more believeable. except for the fact that . . . you know, g ALREADY died and the universe was still here.

bah! matters little. he still loses this fight. 😛

Yes, that particular universe. The canon, 616 universe. Which is actually a multiverse on its own.

😛 Okay.

So what exactly would they have said if they just meant universe as in universe?

Probably that Galactus could destroy the Negative Zone and Reality 616, disregarding what we know about reality 616.

They were referring to a universe. The 616 one. Which from handbook entries and other canon storyarcs is actually a multiverse on its own. It's the keystone of the Marvel Universe/omniverse. As shown when LT was going to replace it with the Ultimateverse.

The reality/universe Galactus was going to destroy was a multiverse.

If they just wanted to talk about him destroying one universe, they might use the words 'this reality' or something. But still, if it took place within 616....then that destruction would be of the 616 multiverse.

For example, when Genis crushed 616 Eternity and destroyed the universe....he destroyed the omniverse, because it was 616 it happened to. That's confirmed on Marvel's official site when you look up the history of the Marvel Universe and it mentions Genis destroying and helping to recreate it [The Marvel Universe itself, not just one universe]. And later on throughout the issues when its revealed that in addition to destroying the universe entire timelines and alternate universes were destroyed along with it.

the death gods would over power him, they would just merge there realms toghther were there all omnipotent

Galactus would eat their realms

How would the death gods be omnipotent? We've seen things like Surfer taking it to Mephisto and the Odinforce (without Odin or Thor guiding it) school Hela in her realm. Unless there's a particular event your referring to that I've missed.

Oh ya just remembered, It was Marnot with the power of Odin who schooled Hela in Hel so that doesn't really add anything since Odin is nigh omnipotent himself.
