I'm not I was just saying it didn't make much sense, it would be like...lets say the Star Wars prequel was closer to the original trilogy, it would be like having darth vader suddenly be a woman or something (this is an example). I'm fine with Judi Dench being M, I love her being M but cause I thought it was a prequel rather than a reboot or whatever seemed like it would be a guy since Judi Dench in Golden Eye was replacing the original M who was male.
I thought it was a combination - prequel, but rebooted, if that makes any sense. It was the first book written, but the man who got staple gunned [or nail gunned, whichever] in the eye... i thought he turned into dr. no. or someone.....
but then obviously was a reboot, because he was just earning double o status.
and in the end i just said 'f**k, just go with the flow' and that helped immensely 🙂

Considering Bond clearly worked in the Cold War (even stated in the movies like Moonraker) ... and a prequal per definition takes place BEFORE the previous movie(s). It is clear a prequal should take place at the latest in the early '60s, no?
Yep ✅

I love Judie Dench as M but the thing is shouldn't someone else be playing the role of M? The reason I ask is when I watched Goldeneye I noticed how Bond mentioned the M before here kept drinks somewhere else or something like that. Anyways the thing is she replaced that M, so should that mean that M should be played by someone different to sorta keep with the timeline or whatever?
yep.
