Take into account this is Picard vs Caedus and ship specifications.
I don't buy this thing one bit.
I mean, I see many of these use this site far too readily to support their hardcore fanboyism. I'm not a hardcore Trekkie, I went through this kind of debates more than once. I'd say, this thing is using a lot of non-canon data that you use (along with Mr. Wong) very readily as though it was canon.
Even then, the Enterprise-E's only hope is long-range combat (we have seen phasers and quantum torpedoes in action from more than 80,000 km) while I think any ship Darth Caedus could fly would be effective only at close range (which would be Star Trek's point-blank range, or 1,000 km)
If the novelizations are any more canon than ICS books (the ones with 200-gigaton turbolasers and 7.7 x 10^23 W for reactor output) of any kind, regarding weapon yield, then dorsal turbolasers, the ones that were said to vaporize small towns in one shot, could yield about 20,000 TJ (4.8 megatons) while ventral and trench guns could go anywhere near 250 and 1,000 TJ.

That site is awesome.
This is a complete analysis of what may be deemed the absolute effective range of shipboard phasers.

A lot more than 80,000 km...

I just don't buy that.
😐
...see how effective that is? As in, not even a little bit? Unless you can counter each of Wong's applicable arguments (not just one and then claiming to have destabilized the whole edifice ((unless it is a foundation premise))) then you don't get to dismiss a source out of hand.
