Just wiki'd her...
Roxy Washington is daughter of celebrity couple Roy "Daddy Libido" Washington and Angel "Sexy Mutha" Depres, both very popular hip hop artists. Having appeared in her parents' rap videos from a young age, Washington was often targeted by would-be kidnappers and assassins.
Will Marvel ever make another respectable black character outside of Storm and Blade?

I forgot about Blue Marvel. He is cool for now, but he hasn't really done anything for me to gauge his overall respect as a black character, he's only fought people. I do believe he is smart though which is a plus. Cage is not, I'm not into the whole "I speak hoodish slang!" No one speaks like that. A black guy in a gang going to prison and exchanging experimental tests for freedom is not interesting. House of M really killed it for me, his biggest dream/desire was to have his own nightclub and gang IIRC. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
War Machine is a cyborg, I know he was originally a human but what has he done outside of fight people? What is his character besides I help Tony and Norman? I do like the fact that he is Ares Champion.
Too many writers soured BP for me with his insane feats. I'm also not into the whole "I need no help from you or any white guy, or anyone black guy...even my wife!" I was so happy when Doom whooped his ass.

There is a black character named Bling?
So, did I. I couldn't believe it either. 😄
Diamond Skin: Bling’s bone marrow is able to produce diamond shards of varying quality, giving her skin a crystalline appearance.
Marrow is that you?
I've heard the excuse of why there aren't more black characters or better ones. It's because, so they say, they do not know how to write black characters.
I guess that goes for other cultures as well. 😖
I've always liked, Monica Rambeau, G. W. Bridge ,Synch, and Tag.

It's not that hard to write a black character imo. Just write them as you would any other hero or villain. No need to make them from the "hood" no need to even mention racism, no need to write them above their abilities.

That's what I was thinking. Just write them as you would any other hero or villain. It's not difficult if the writer knows how to writer.
I want to write a Falcon series. 😄

I've never had a problem with Cage, he is a hood type character, there are people like that, just because he may fit certain stereotypes doesn't mean people like him don't exist, he represents street culture and he has progressed as a character.
Today the high end feats seem to be the only way to make people respect a character, but I always liked Black Panther, he isn't prefect obviously his pride being his major flaw however he was still a great character.
I don't know much about War Machine but Ironman respects him for his abilities as well as his intelligence.

I have no problem with Hood characters but I have yet to meet someone who speaks his type of hood.
BP is just overhyped for no reason.
WM and IM are at odds now and he really doesn't do much. Marvel just aren't big on black people. Hell half of the relationships black people are in are interracial. I have no problem with interracial couples, hell I'm all for it, but in Marvel all I see are interracial couples like a black family is so rare in Marvel. I can't think of one black couple outside of BP and Storm.
Correct me if I'm wrong about these people.
Luke Cage has a white wife.
THe hood has a black baby mama.
Cloak and Dagger.
Iron Fist is back with Misty right?
Once again I am in no way against interracial couples, but I would like to see more black couples in Marvel.
