What would've happened to Luke?

Luke was tossed in the pit in Jabba's palace and a large door opened revealing a hungry (or blood lusted) Rancor. Luke easily defeated it by throwing a skull at the controls of the door and with the controls all screwed up, the door fell on the Rancor which killed it.

Now if Luke didn't think of that idea and the Rancor made it passed the door, what would've happened to Luke? Would he defeat it in another way or would he be Rancor chow?

it was a movie. I'm sure it would have been a crappy movie if luke died in the beginning

He would have pulled out it's eye...then peed in it's empty eye socket and given it aids in the eye...socket

prolly defeat it in another way. the hero never dies until the end of the movie, or never dies at all.

You could argue the hero never loses a hand and yet....

He shoulda done that...woulda been the smart thing to do really 😬

Luke's force powers weren't even strong enough to lift his ship out of a swamp. What makes you think he can tame a vicious Rancor?

point. the rancor probably would've just stared at him dumbly for a few seconds then shake its head, then ate Luke.

Maybe when Luke dies, Vader will sense a disturbance in the force meaning that his son died. He will go on a rampage by throwing Sidious over a rail, order the Empire to blow up Jabba's palace, and vows to make the galaxy a better place. 😄

ESB his powers weren't that strong at the time 🙄 ROTJ his powers were very strong and he could have done it with ease I'm sure
