Can that not be said for just about any female anime character? 98% of them suck at being good characters, and I can count on one hand the number of ones I'm a particular fan of (Fuu, being the first that comes to mind, and most recently Kuroneko).
You must not watch much anime then. Anime has numerous amazing female characters (Orihime, Hinata, the Sailor Senshi to name but a miniscule fraction).
(BTW, hentai is just loathsome trash).
Good male anime characters by contrast are very rare. With maybe one or two exceptions there aren't any I'm a fan of.
And yes, Orihime is awesome. She's sweet, kind-hearted and caring, all of which are traits that make her admirable. One time she healed two people who had just been brutally beating her. To answer hatred with compassion like that truly makes her incredible.
I agree though that Tatsuki is also an amazing character and should have a bigger role.

First off, those are all the worst types of anime girls. What acts in making them supposedley so endearing is also what goes against their potential at having any halfway decent contrasts that aren't made out of pitiful cop-out excuses for comic relief with how they tend to become either ditzes with no flaws worth their salt, or just fail attempts at again, comic relief. Orihime's far from the worst of her type, I'll say that much, but her type isn't exactly inherently good like you're trying to preach it as. On the contrary, these kinds of characters tend to stop being cute or anything and start being really annoying quite immediately. Compassion and purity isn't a bad thing in characters, but it doesn't excuse putting aside any other worthwhile traits.
Kenshiro alone is a greater anime character than any female imaginable.

No flaws? Do you actually 'watch' any good anime?
All of those characters have fears, worries, doubts, insecurities etc. They make mistakes, don't always succeed at everything they attempt and so on.
For example, Orihime and Hinata have often shown self-doubt and insecurities about themselves.

I don't find them annoying at all.

They have plenty of worthwhile traits. Hinata for example is hard-working and determined.

Rubbish. Kenshiro doesn't interest me in the slightest.
I suspect you're afraid of women.

^ Nucka, Orihime & Hinata are actually very well developed.
They have developed backstorys but otherwise are not that interesting or developed. Orihime more than Hinata of course but it really gets grating when she becomes The Messiah of the series who is just so nice to everything for no good reason. To the point where someone needs to slap her in the face for being so stupid at times.
And Hinata does not show up enough to be what you'd call developed. 😛
Both are awful next to Rukia anywho.
