Could this Wolverine just be one of a series of promotional images, promoting the end of Dark Reign??? Just like with Secret Invasion when all the heroes were given Skrull chins, we might get a repeat of that. Otherwise I'd guess it was something Wolverine specific......

I think its seriously hinting at that, and it's not like marvel wouldn't do that they killed Black Panther (although he's fighting against death currently) and gave someone else the mantle, they changed the sorcerer supreme, killed captain america for a decent amount of time, and created daken.

plus judging by the way this poster was being received by many fans (mostly negative due to being "wolverined out" it might be a smart move to take wolverine out

its not like he'd be gone I mean he still has stories and books that are about his path, even if wolverine died in the main stream, he'd still have a couple of books

It is good to kill him. Nobody likes a story where the protagonist never dies and just keeps winning. Look at the amount of sales, and positive reception that were given to Superman when he died in Death of Superman; It was incredible! Logan is also very popular. It will give them sales, money, and hopefully good responses. When Captain America died, it was also crazy. It was even on the news.

Maybe this means they'll pull Wolverine out of Avengers and whatever shit he's doign. Put him in ONE x-title and Wolverine.
