Live Action Ghost in the Shell Movie

Dreamworks has been licensed the rights to adapt Ghost in the Shell into a live action movie. Not only will it be live action, but it'll be 3D as well. Either this will be a success like the Transformers, or this movie will share the same fate as Dragonball.

I predict massive amounts of fail.

It will probably be fail.

But, it could be quite awesome....like minority report on steroids.

I can predict that Motoko won't have her violet hair unfortunately 🙁. I wonder what the cast will be for Section 9.

I reakon it could work they were halfway there with the Matrix.

What happened to the live action Akira too, heard news about this last year.

I checked out IMDB and it says that this movie won't be out until 2011.

The 3-D aspect is already a turn-off for me. Watch, they'll cast Vin ****ing Diesel as Batou.

I also found out that the screenwriter is Jamie Moss and the producers are Avi Arad and Steven Paul.

I wish they would stop with the 3D.

Doesn't seem like it would be a very hard adaptation. The Anime movie seems to have practical shots that would be well suited for a live action adaptation. Other than a few exceptions the effects also seem like they would be rather easy to replicate into live action.

I'm more curious to see Blood though. Has anyone seen that yet?

I have heard the plot sucked.
