I can't find the space key

I was playing this awesome video game I just got, and it said that I have to hit space to jump. But I don't think I have a space key on my keyboard. Is there a special space symbol??????

The space key is the longest key between the two ALT keys

But whenever I hit that key, it just makes a space.... OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DUDE YOU'RE FREAKING SMART.

On top of this, you could not have typed any of this without the space key. Go you.
