I loath CG to an extent. Especially in the Horror Genre.
Rick Baker the man who did the animatronics for films such as American Werewolf London is one of my heroes.

When you see the Alien in earlier films it's a terrifying creature but when you see them move around in CG the threat is no longer there.

Keep it real.

I agree 100% with that, Ninjak.

And I agree with Ford as well. The pojtn he's saying is that there's detachment between the CGI villains and the audience. When you're playing, there is no detachment, you have to beat them yourselves. When it's a movie, it's all numbers for your hero to defeat. Kinda sucks you're not the hero yourself.

Yet through empathy you experience the hero's trials and tribulations as your own in a good movie.

Thats why Raiders was genius, and Matrix 2 and 3 were dogshit.

A good movie... indeed.

One of the very best.

The first Matrix movie worked because of this very factor.
Just utterly lost it on the sequels and became a great big non-playable video game demo..

And even the fisrt one was okay, not super. Very very talky movie that.,

Not nearly as talky as the sequel

Especally that big speech from the architect.

The Oracle already had a long speech in matrix1 and so did Morpheus.

Oh that architect scene is almost everything that was wrong with 00's cinema.

Very.... drag...

Polished looking, souless, energy deficient drag with occasional bay explosions and poop acting.

Bweerk

Bwaaaaarrrrrrrrggghhhhh

Nice barf.

Huuuuurrrrghhhraaaaallllphhh

Not so nice barf... look what you did to the curtains... and the window and the old lady walking there with her dog... and the tree... and the sky.

*Looks at vom dripping from the sky*

Blllllllllluuuuuuuulllllllllllllccccchhhhhhh

Oh no, the sun went dark.
