don't know if this counts or not but did everyone forget batman knightfall where bane DEFEATS AND BREAKS BATMANS SPINE? just saying may or may not count because he did wear him down first but still he did defeat batmnan through any means right?

Pretty much. The guy is pretty much defin of prep. Marvel has Doctor Doom and he's a magician/super scientist. Batman just a man. And his prep and skill should be able to take down anyone below Herald.

Several ways are reflected in actual comics:

1) Red solar radiation (see Superman: Red Son)

2) OMAC Technology

I seem to recall Brother Eye actually calling Batman "creator"?

Refer to the magazine listed in the following link to see how well these can combat just about ANY metahuman and neutralize them. Note that the OMACs are simply ordinary people a second before the nanotechnology is beamed onto them and activates.

3) the Blackrock

This stone appears around the time of Superman #223. If I remember right, Batman actually DOES use this against Superman until whatever is mind-controlling Superman has its hold broken, whereupon the situation is reversed. Like the OMAC tech, it transforms a person into a, well, more or less full-body-costumed being capable of handling Kryptonian level metahumans.

4) Gravity bombs.
See the World of New Krypton series, where this is used on Thara, Kara Zor-el (i.e. Supergirl), and Chris to devastating effect.
Dangerous stuff.

5) Hypersonics. This can be used either solo or in conjunction with other items. Note that hypersonics doing the job solo depends on the writer and what they believe Supes can and cannot do with his hearing.

think of it like this almost every villain has caught Batman and killed him if it wasn't scripted for him to live could he handle himself without his belt

If Superman were to just cut loose and use EVERYTHING at his disposal Batman would have no chance

Batman can take anyone down. If he was ever truly on the verge of death/defeat, Bat-mite would come in and whoop ass.

He was straight up defeated by Karate Kid during Countdown, wasn't he? In a martial arts duel.

Batman could never take down Superman if Supes was going full force.

Anytime they have fought Superman was either holding back trying not to hurt/kill Bruce or Supes was mind controlled and resisting it while the controller was not able to use his full potential.

Superman moves at speeds that Batman couldnt even fathom. If he were to go all out he would need less than a millisecond to kill Batman which is far too little time for Bats to enact any plan he might have.

The only chances Batman has are if Supes is holding back, mind controlled or he is just being a cocky mofo and moving at normal speeds
