King Leonidas vs Prince Hector
Since most of pretty much agree that Achilles would have Leonidas' number in battle how would Hector do? Both combatants have there armor, shield, sword, and spear. Fight setting is just outside the gates of Troy exactly where Achilles killed Hector. Who takes this duel to the death?
That's tough. Real tough. Leonidas is very skilled but Hector is too. And if you're going by armor well Leonidas has armor on his head and a shield. So that's not armor lol. He has way more weak points exposed than Hector. Hector is faster or just as fast as Leonidas. I can see Leonidas being stronger, but that wont matter when Hector is slashing the shit out of his body.
Well Leonidas has the advantage that his movie was "stylized" violence. Troy was more realistic, atleast when referring to Hector. Sorta like a fight between Batman and Nite Owl would be.
Leonidas killed that monster however Hector killed Ajax. Hector might be the better skilled fighter. But Leonidas is without a doubt more experience and better physically.
You cant even say Leonidas was more "experienced" than Hector. Hectory was bred to fight since h was young just like Leonidas. Leonidas killed that freakshow sure. But AJAX was a freakshow in his own right. Even though in the true illiad he didnt even die. Infact him and Odyseous faught over who got to keep Achilles shield after he died, but thats for another debate lol. Anyways though Hector is way more skilled, and Id say he has just as much experience, but physically hes weaker.

2. I already aknowledged Hector killing Ajax.
3. The Illiad doesn't matter here.
4. Hector might be more skilled. If he is it's by a short margin.
Overall I'm not sure who'd win. I think Achilles would beat Leonidas but I think he'd put up more of a fight than Hector did. Not sure about this one.
Strength there isnt even a debate. And Martin u said Leonidas was more experienced. Imo he's not. And we can debate that if you'd like. And if u think Lenonidas would stand more of a chance against a blood lusted Achilles you're crazy. I think he'd probably die faster than Hector did. And to some extent the illiad does matter since Troy is infact based off the Illiad.

-We see Leonidas fighting at different age periods throughout his life.
-I'm not convinced that Hector did more fighting in the front lines.
-Leonidas has gone up against things Hector can't say he has.
-I doubt Hector has ever been under any scenario such as what Leonidas was under at Thermopylae.

Okay fine we'll go by just film.
-Leonidas was older? How do we know that. In the film versions nor say age of either character.
-Okay true they dont show Hector fighting at early ages and throughout his life, but he is quoted on being the greatest warrior in Troy. Just liek Leonidas.
-Im more convinced Hector did more fighting in the front lines. At the battle outside of the front gates They were enveloped by a massive army not sent in waves like Xerxes did to Leonidas. Hector rallied his army smartly and faught off the waves while Achillies and Odysseus themselves watched.
-Leonidas killed a wolf and a freakish giant that growled alot. Hector killed Ajax whom was considered one of the bravest warriors and strongest warriors of his time.
-Once again you're wrong... Leonidas's situation was easily comparable to that of Troy. They were Vastly outnumbered against armies that didnt come in waves like Xerxes.
1. While we don't know exactly what age Leonidas is, we do know he's ateast 45 years old. Now do you think Hector is 45?
2. Fair enough. 300 still shows him fighting at different ages. That favors Leonidas here.
3. Exactly, Achilles watched. 300 fought against giant elephants, monsters, ninjas, and magicians. They were far mor outnumbered than Troy ever was on film.
4. I believe that "freakish giant that growled alot">Ajax. It owned many Spartans of which are superior to your normal Trojan soldiers.
5. The main reason Troy prevailed in that particular battle was there archers. Not to mention they were in fortified positions. Spartans don't have archers.
What's next?
And you're saying the bottlenecked strategy that the more elite Spartan to Trojan soldier was less fighting for the soldiers and Leonidas did all the work? I dont think so. Id say Hector had way more fighting. As for the Giant. When the hell did he "grow" in the film? He was always that tall int he movie he didnt grow.. also if u think taht thing was so leet that only leonidas could kill him u crazy. Ajax could of probably killed him so could of Hector. Also because they didnt show HEctor fighting throughout different ages doesnt mean he didnt fight in his early ages. And yes im sure Leonidas is older, but that doesnt mea he hwas more experienc ein battle. We dont know that because well once again we cant use actual other sources of fact.
Your accusing me of things I didn't say.
1. I never said Leonidas did all or even most of the work. Hector was the only noticeably skilled Trojan warrior. All of the Spartans were skilled. The skill gap between Leonidas and his fellow Spartans was small. It seemed large between Hector and his Trojan comrades. This is my reasoning for saying Spartans(shown with Leonidas)>Trojans.
2. Correct. It doesn't mean he didn't fight in his younger ages. But Leonidas has proof. Hector doesn't.
Bah see this wont get resolved then. Because even with out movie pproof we all know Hector has fighting experience in his younger ages. He wasnt a pansey like Paris nor did he have help of a sun god to kill a legend. I agree teh Spartans were slimly outskilled by Leonidas but i still say Hector was more skilled than those Spartans and even Leonidas.

The skill of the various Spartans was varied however as a unit or average skill they are far superior to the Trojans.
