The source of power doesn't equal the same ability to damage. A quarter has enough energy in it to turn billions of quarters to ash or blow up an entire city. Also, we have in fiction humans supernova a star with a simple device. So we should mostly focus on the intent of the writer since he has full creative power.

Do you know of the scene we are talking about?
You guys were not understanding what was going on. As the above scans clearly show, Plutonian was not getting hit with star system destroying punches. The person he is fighting was taking the energy of stars and using it to fight Plutonian.
What happens when you remove the main star of a solar system? The system is pretty much screwed. That is what was meant by a solar system "dying'. Not that she was hitting him hard enough to one shot actual star systems.
Now that we have cleared that up, Plutonian kind of has no way to put down a guy who can come back from being exploded. He probably could of if he'd been given a chance to fully master his powers, but he never got that chance to do it fully. Meanwhile, sooner or later Sentry is going to do enough damage to at least KO Plutonian.

Plutonian psionically manipulates sentry into a piece of paper, or throws him to the heat death of the universe.
plutonian was tanking star system busting power compacted into a single punch, the plutonian was tanking an immeasurable amount of star system busting hits compacted down into the focus of a punch.

Yet the floor beneath was just fine... I guess Sentry literally was attacking Hulk with a million exploding stars power then.

The power of star systems was being perfectly focused into each punch, perfect energy control. Thus why Plutonian was being so badly damaged because all that energy was being perfectly directed into him, without a single ounce of it being wasted on the surrounding.
