I'll admit, I'm no Trekkie. But from what I do know and have read, Star Wars weapons have greater range and their fighters have greater sublight speed. The only problem I could see would be the Borg, their numbers may count for something depending on the situation. But as the limits of their energy assimilation, I couldn't say. Phasers and blasters are two different things. Then there's lightsabers, ion, turbolasers, superlasers... Iunno. But Q>Star Wars. All of Star Trek vs. All of Star Wars=Trek victory.

A little something I brought up in the ST v SW thread in the ST forum.
In the Thrawn trilogy it was said that whoever recovered the Katana fleet could tip the balance of power in their favour in the whole of the Galaxy...The Katana fleet consisted of some 500+ old republic dreadnoughts.
The Borg central nexus was said to contain trillions of drones onboard billions of vessels.
Then there's Species 8472...Which have an entire alternate universe to draw upon numbers from as well as the ability to combine 8 or 9 single pilot, small bioships and destroy and entire planet within seconds.
Even without Q the ST galaxy has many other omnipotent and immortal beings to choose from. The Douwd, The being who tested different ways of dying on the Enterprise crew because it had no concept of mortality.
Then there's the Dominion...Potentially equal in strength and numbers to the Borg.
If we were to include Q then you'd have to include the weapons from the episode "the Q and the grey" whereby they were shooting each other with what, to humans, appeared to be American civil war muskets but were actually causing massive supernova.
Even in terms of normal technology ST has weapons that phase out of time and space and so can't be hampered by energy shielding. They have torpedos that generate over 20 times the energy that the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated on our planet gave out.
Then there's the fact that SW relies solely on direct energy weapons...ST has ablative armour which renders direct weapons almost useless.
About the only thing SW has going for it is speed of vessels...Depends on the power of a vessel it can traverse the galaxy between 2 weeks and a month (according to an official SW galaxy map taken from one of the SW "fact" books) Where it would take a warp ship years unless it can get higher up the warp scale as warp 10 is infinite speed so warp 9.999999 means a ship could get across the galaxy in seconds (something similar was done in voyager and in the next generation)
Of course, ST also has transwarp which can deploy ships across the galaxy in minutes.
This is usually the point where SW fans say "It shouldn't be SW v ST...It should be SW v the Federation"...Nice gimping tactic given that the SW galaxy is of comparable size to the ST galaxy and the federation only control a tiny fraction of the ST galaxy.
Then the SW fans will usually say "Well then ST can have the Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Ferengi and all the other equally strong species"...Which is still gimping but not quite as bad....Ironically that group would most likely still kick SW ass given that it has ships such as the Reman Scimitar.
