Madden 10

eh, it's just short for (v)ideo game.

I was just trying to differentiate the real nfl games with the video game version of the nfl while being lazy about typing the thing out.

But i've played more Madden 10 games and you know passing isn't as bad afterall. (mid-range wise). But you can forget about throwing it deep. At least alot of the time anyway. Even with T. Brady and R. Moss. But mid-range rocket catches are a breeze some, to most of the time. I still think running yields better results this year. but i'd like to try to utilize my passing game and master it this year to get even better results overall.

A deep passing game that works not very well makes sense. In real life, you don't see alot of crazy bombs that work. You can get alot of long receptions but that's usually after the fact.

The short game and middle game are spot on. Passing is easy once you get the hang of it. There is some routes that are tailored made to work. Cross routes, with protection are sometimes unstoppable.

The only problem I'm having is the difficulty level, I'm blowing out people and the tackle situation. A full 6 minute game gives me nothing. Tackles going out of bounds dont count. Two people tackling at the same time count as assisted and the assisted tackle. It might not be correct, but add them both together to get a full tackle count so you can atleast compete with the AI. I get 5 tackles at most, and the simmed games get 15. Impossible.

Bought and played. I'm not an every-year junky, so this is upgrading me from I think the '07 version. Maybe earlier.

Good times, though I lost my first outing. I like to pass a lot and had a running team....probably not the greatest combo.

I find this is the best game out of all of them because the gameplay has been reworked and it feels a tad bit more real.

I finally found the sliders to make the computer good, but not killer. I increased to 7 minutes, increase the AI against my offense so it isn't crazy good. I need to make a few adjustments to increase the offense of the AI.

At 7 minutes, I get about 7 tackles for a LB or something. It's not bad but I wish it could get more. If the allowed tackles to count when you tackle somebody out of bounds it would be better. Also, allowing the player who initiates the tackle get that counted instead of the person cleaning up, or if two people tackle near the same time.

I've been in a bit of a sports gaming phase right now. I always play the EA Sports NHL game every year and this year decided to try some others. So last month I picked up NBA 2k10 and fell in love with it, so I thought I'd try Madden as well. Picked this up yesterday. I haven't played a Madden game since N64, so this was quite the upgrade for me.

It's very fun, even though I'm not a big fan of football in real life I enjoy this game so far. Been fiddling with the sliders and I've found some solid ones. 15 minute quarters with 25 second runoff.

Good range of scoring, sometimes I get 30+ points, sometimes I'll get 10 - 14. Feels like an actual game of football.

Yeah, the custom sliders are a god send.

Got my sliders to the point where I get pretty comparable stats, and difficulty level that's a perfect blend of being fun to play and actually losing a few games.

It took forever to do so but I did.

Yeah I'm still working on getting mine just right. Want to make sure I don't make it too easy on myself.

One thing 2k sports does really well is sliders. Their NBA 2k10 sliders are insane. They have so many. Same with NHL 2k10. Their sliders are so powerful than in NHL 2k10's case they can turn the mediocre out of the box experience and make it a very good hockey simulation.

Too bad their baseball game is such crap.

Oh, yeah, MLB 2k is one of the worst sport franchises.

I know Madden has the exclusive rights to ESPN and NFL but at least they make a very compelling game. I love Madden. Played a bit of 2k8 All Pro and it was shit.

Unfortunately, MVP baseball was one of the best out there. It was fantastic. One of my favourite games.

MLB The Show is a very good baseball game, but it's ****ing hard. I play very easy with all the sliders in my favour and I only lose a few times. With the sliders in the middle on very easy, I would lose 75 percent of the time because they would get some lucky bounce to get a 2 run inning and I was ****ed.

I would love to play The Show. I've heard great things.

Yeah, how come Madden doesn't use the ESPN license at all? I know EA has it because their college football game uses it, but from what I can tell Madden doesn't.

It uses purely for scores at the bottom of the screen. Other than that I don't know.

The Show is really good. If your big baseball fan, it's a good reason to pick up a PS3. MLB 2k is so shit it's gotta to be the one of the worst games out there.

Last time I bought it I couldn't play it. I lasted 4 innings in my first game and it crashed, then 3 innings, then 2 innings and then 1 innning and then just 1 out. Crashed all the time.
