Scenario 1: Can he beat these guys
Scenario 2: Can he control at least one of these guys blasts.

Vulcan does not get past 3 in first.
Gets to 5 in second.

I think he could get up to 4or 5 in the first one and reach 7 in the second.

i don't think it out of the question that he could beat hal--GL energy has been controlled many times in the past, and there's no reason to think vulcan couldn't do it. he has shown some evidence of being able to easily control magic (which he himself says is just one more type of energy) when he was beating up warlock, but still, strange's magic is a little different, so i'm not sure. i think strange stops him without further evidence. he also hasn't shown to be able to manipulate energy at the level of ss.

i meant i think ss could maybe overwhelm him. i don't think it impossible for vulcan to defeat ss, in theory. just based on what he's done, i don't think i could give him a win over ss.

Which scenario are you talking about?

For scenario 2, he doesn't have to be an energy manipulator at the level of his opponent, only be able to redirect a basic blast.

So he probably stops at 8

i was talking about how far he would get. he could probably redirect a blast from ss, but i think ss has too many options available for vulcan to beat him yet.

Depends on how competent the rookie GL is, a lot of them forget that they can shield themselves and die in one panel. Adding that to your gauntlet is like adding a Hand Ninja.
